Week #2 – August 20 – 24

August17

We have had a great first “week”. Please try to have your composition book Monday, as we will begin grading Bellringer journals on Friday and they must be in the composition book. Also, please have your notebooks with tabs. We will be setting those up this week. They are a resource to help you all year long.

Remind: The code for remind was wrong on the syllabus. Please text WOENGL4 to 81010, to join the remind.

Welcome!

August9

Welcome to your senior year! I will be your English teacher. I am excited to be here at White Oak. Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in a very small town. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in English. I taught in Hallsville for several years before earning my MLS from the University of North Texas. For the last twelve years I have been a full time homemaker. Now that all three of my kids are in school, I am happy to be back in the English classroom.

Our classroom motto is:

Work hard; be kind.

I am looking forward to a great year.
